NHM Assam Community Health Officer official notification was released on 19-07-2025 at official website. It shows various information and criteria one should fulfill to become CHO under NHM Assam.

Vacancy
As given in official notification there are 882 total vacancies. However there will be reservation as per Assam government norms.
Vertical Reservations: UR-544, ST(P)- 36, ST(H)- 103, SC-90, Tea Tribes- 109. Horizontal Reservation will be as per existing norms.
Appointment Nature
Recruited CHO will be appointed on contractual basis for a tenure. Zone wise (Barak Valley, Central Assam, Lower Assam, North Assam, Upper Assam) preference may be given at the time of posting
NHM Assam CHO Age Limit
Individuals should be below 40 years as on 01-01-2025. Age relaxations will be applicable. OBC/MOBC- 03 years, SC/ST-05 years, PWD- 10 years.
Educational Qualification
- As given in official notification " The candidate must have passed B.Sc (Nursing) or Post Basic B.Sc (Nursing) with Integrated Certificate Course in Community Health/ B.Sc. (Community Health) Registered by Director of Medical Education, Assam are eligible to apply for the post"
- Registration in Assam State Nursing Council is must.
- Individuals will be required to submit certificate of confirmation of the Integrated Certificate Course in
- Community Health. Format is given in Appendix.
NHM Assam CHO Salary 2025
- Monthly Remuneration will consist of Two parts. one is fixed pay and second one is performance based pay.
- There will be fixed monthly pay of Rs.27,500 per month. Based on Performance of Incentive up-to Rs.15000 will be given.
NHM Assam CHO Selection Method 2025
As given in notification, Selection Mode will be intimated to candidates after shortlisting of candidates. Decision of NHM Assam will be final in this regard.
